Metroid Dread Walkthrough: Missile Expansions

Here you’ll find the location for every Missile Expansion in Metroid Dread, as well as detailed explanations on how to get them and what powerups you’ll need.

Missile Expansion #1

Location: Artaria

Requirements: None

 

In the beginning of the game as you head towards the first E.M.M.I. Zone and Metroid Dread is teaching you about flashing areas holding secrets, slide under the pillar, shoot the tumor in the wall, and BAM! The surrounding area will explode, and wouldn’t you know, your first pickup is sitting right there. Go and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #1

 


Missile Expansion #2

Location: Artaria

Requirements: None

 

On your way to the Corpious boss room, and to the right of the Network Station with four doors, you’ll see MISSILE EXPANSION #2 just sitting in the motion sensor lock doorway.

 


Missile Expansion #3

Location: Artaria

Requirements: None

 

From the Artaria Map Station,  go right one room and walk forward and see that you can either go up or go down. Head up,  blasting away any enemies and get goin’. Go through the top right door, but watch out – there’s a giant enemy crab ready to pounce on you. One well timed melee counter will finish him off, though. Exit the door behind the crab and you’ll find yourself back in the vertical hallway with MISSILE EXPANSION #3 in front of you. 

 


Missile Expansion #4

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Charge Beam

 

From the Network Room with four doors, charge up a shot and blast your way through the upper right door. In this next room, slide under the middle blocks to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #4.

 


Missile Expansion #5

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Missiles

 

In the room where you need to activate the first thermal fuel switch, fire a missile at the wall to the right of the station and you’ll see that your missile destroyed a red block in your way, revealing a missile expansion. You can’t fit through here, but don’t worry – just fire a shot with your beam at the door and the access will open. Backtrack to the other room and enter above. You’ll grab MISSILE EXPANSION #5! 

 


Missile Expansion #6

Location: Artaria E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Spider Magnet

 

Get to the door on the left and jump up on the tracks, scaling upwards. When you get to the top, shoot the wall to your right and jump over and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #6.+

 


Missile Expansion #7

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Charge Beam, Thermal Switch #2 activated

 

Once the second thermal switch has been activated, make your way back to the room that the fuel line originally went into. You’ll see that the room isn’t too hot to traverse anymore, so head inside. Go directly across and head through the charged door – dropping down will only lead you to a dead end. Once inside the next room, deal with the creepy creature, and then jump up on the ledge. Shoot out the blocks above you and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #7.

 


Missile Expansion #8

Location: Cataris E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Morph Ball, Missiles, Spider Magnet

 

In this room, there is a robotic enemy called a Shakernaut. It’s imperative that you counter and destroy this guy asap, since his beams hit insanely hard. Once you’ve done so, scale the spider tracks along the ceiling. Go to the far left and shoot the top part of the wall with a missile. One more missile will clear the path and you’ll be rewarded with MISSILE EXPANSION #8

Location: Cataris E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Morph Ball

 

In the room you have the final encounter with the E.M.M.I. with before destroying it, you’ll see an expansion on the other side of a small tunnel just sitting for the taking, so roll through  and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #9

 


Missile Expansion #10

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Missiles

 

In the Red Teleportal room, drop down directly under the portal and into the water. Once you’re on the water, drop to the left side and immediately turn around. Shoot a missile at the wall and you’ll see a tunnel exposed. Roll over and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #10. 

 


Missile Expansion #11

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Varia Suit, Spider Magnet, Diffusion Beam

 

 From the Purple Teleportal Station, climbing the wall to the left. Keep climbing up, blasting away all the enemies, and get yourself to the spider track on the upper right part of the wall. Use your Diffusion Beam to blast the tumor on the wall and jump over and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #11.

 


Missile Expansion #12

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Bombs

 

In the  room you acquire the bombs in, lay a couple bombs on the floor and drop below. Keep bombing until you get to the wall covering the missile expansion. Jump up and lay a bomb in the air, breaking the wall and allowing you to roll over and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #12.

 


Missile Expansion #13

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Bombs

 

In the room beside the far left Save Station and in between two Morph Ball Launch tunnels, you should be next to some spider tracks. If you go to the wall directly opposite the spider tracks and jump and lay a bomb, you should see a small tunnel open up. Roll through and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #13.

 


Missile Expansion #14

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Bombs

 

From the room beside the far left Save Station, use the Morph Ball Launcher in the bottom right corner. When you land, immediately aim up and shoot the ceiling. You should see MISSILE EXPANSION #14 just sitting there, so go grab it!

 


Missile Expansion #15

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Misiles, Spider Magnet, Morph Ball

 

 Jump on the spider tracks on the ceiling and follow them to the platform above the water. You’ll see a Morph Ball tunnel, but before you enter, do two quick jumps, firing off missiles at the apex of your jump, to destroy two blocks blocking your way. Once the two missiles blocks are gone, roll over and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #15

 


Missile Expansion #16

Location: Burenia

Requirements: None, but must Wall Jump (Grapple Beam optional)

 

 This room is kind of neat; when you sink in the water, there will be two tumors on either side of you that you’ll need to destroy in order to let the water level sink. Destroy the one on the right first, and then get ready to act quickly on the tumor to the left. There’s a missile expansion here that the game intends for us to come back with the Grapple Beam in order to get, but if you act very quickly, you can get it now. No worries if you’re unable to pull this off though, it’s quite tricky. Shoot the tumor and immediately jump up! After that, immediately perform a wall jump off the left hand side wall. If you’re quick, you should be able to do this before the water fills up, allowing you to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #16 (Wooooo!).

 


Missile Expansion #17

Location: Dairon E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Speed Booster

 

 Get to the top of this room and you’ll see a walkway just large enough for you to activate your Speed Booster. Go crashing through the wall and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #17.

 


Missile Expansion #18

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Speed Booster

 

Make your way to the room directly after the Cataris elevator. You’ll see some Speed Boost blocks, so get to running and Shinespark straight up in the middle of the room. You’ll break the block AND conveniently land right beside MISSILE EXPANSION #18.

 


Missile Expansion #19

Location: Artaria E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Speed Booster

 

From the Yellow Teleportal Station, head to the top platform of this room and make your way to the right, stopping when you get to the wall. Start Boosting and jump to the other side of the platform once you’re going. The ground right before the door will give away from your impact, allowing you to drop down and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #19.

 


Missile Expansion #20

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Morph Ball

 

Shoot out the two tumors in the wall, jump up and roll through to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #20.

 


Missile Expansion #21

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Varia Suit, Spider Magnet

 

Climb up the spider tracks. There’s a platform up here; simply Flash Shift twice in succession and you’ll crash into MISSILE EXPANSION #21.

 


Missile Expansion #22

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Spider Magnet, Varia Suit, Flash Shift (optional but makes it easier!)

 

Carefully crawl across the ceiling; this probably goes without saying, but falling in lava = bad, so destroy all the enemies and avoid the fire shooting from the roof. Don’t get too cute, take your time, and eventually, you’ll grab MISSILE EXPANSION #22. If you want to cheat a bit, Flash Shift three times to get back – you may take a little lava damage, but it won’t be much!

Requirements: Morph Ball

 

Drop below the Save Station and go through the Charge door. Roll through and lay a bomb to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #23.

 


Missile Expansion #24

Location: Artaria E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Morph Ball, Flash Shift (or Space Jump)

 

Head towards the top entrance of the E.M.M.I. Zone which housed the broken E.M.M.I. from the games tutorial. Don’t make any sudden movements, as the floor funnels you downwards if you fall. Instead, jump up and Flash Shift twice to reach the upper right side of the room. There’s a little nook for you to roll in; do so, lay a bomb, and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #24.

 


Missile Expansion #25

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Spider Magnet

 

Make your way downwards towards the area you grabbed the Charge Beam in. There should be a spot on your map with an Energy Recharge Station just below the E.M.M.I. Zone – Head there. Once you arrive, jump up on the spider tracks, drop into the pool of water, and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #25.

 


Missile Expansion #26

Location: Artaria E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Morph Ball, Speed Boost

 

Make your way up into the E.M.M.I. Zone. Keep pressing upwards until you’re in a massive room that’s directly above the Energy Recharge Station and southeast of the Yellow Teleportal Station. You should see some spider tracks on the right hand side of the wall; climb them until you get to an open access door. Go through this door and start Speed Boosting. When you get to the end, stop and charge your Shinespark. Shoot the ledge in front of you and you’ll see a little nook open up; climb in the nook (you’ll be in Morph Ball form) and activate your Shinespark, heading left. You’ll go shooting to the left, past the door, through the giant room, and into a little tunnel where MISSILE EXPANSION #26 will be. Check out Shinespark Puzzles for a video on how this is done.

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Grapple Beam

 

Grapple over using the hooks in the ceiling (this can be deceivingly hard, so make sure to hold on to your 360° aiming at all times) and collect MISSILE EXPANSION #27

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Quiet Robe scene activated, Missiles

 

In the Lock Room, go up the right side. Jump up to the top left platform and shoot the wall with a missile and you’ll see MISSILE EXPANSION #28

 


Missile Expansion #29

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Grapple Beam, Spider Magnet

 

Grapple up to the spider tracks and then carefully Grapple across the hooks along the ceiling of this room (pro tip: you can hold your 360° aim in one direction and move Samus herself as an easier way to grapple versus nailing that perfect shot into the hook). Swing across and you’ll grab MISSILE EXPANSION #29.

 


Missile Expansion #30

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Grapple Beam

 

Walk forwards a couple steps and drop down into the lower part of the room. Destroy the Grapple block and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #30.

 


Missile Expansion #31

Location: Elun

Requirements: Speed Booster

 

You’ll see a fan blowing air in this room. We’ll come back to that in a second, but for now, just eliminate every enemy in the room so you have a clear path ahead. Once you’ve done that, head back up to the fan and start Speed Boosting. Charge your Shinespark and quickly run towards the bottom left corner of this room, sliding twice to get there. Shoot straight up and if you were fast enough, the blocks should break and you’ll be able to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #31. As always, see Shinespark Puzzles for a video on how to do this.

 


Missile Expansion #32

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Speed Booster, Wall Jump, Space Jump (optional)

 

In the Elevator Room from Elun, get towards the Grapple door and yank it open. Run back a little bit and start Boosting. Crouch either right before or right after you run into the next room. When you get into the next room, turn around and perform a wall jump above the door, so that you’re pretty high up in the air. At the apex of your wall jump, release your Shinespark and you’ll go flying, eventually crashing into MISSILE EXPANSION #32! Awesome! Missile Expansion #33

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Morph Ball, Bombs

 

In the room where you grabbed the Pulse Scan, head into the Morph Ball tunnel. You’ll have options to either go up or down; head up, minding the bugs shooting out in every direction, and keep laying bombs until the path takes you back into the Pulse Radar room. Lay another bomb and jump up to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #33.  Roll back into the other room and drop down, bombing until you fall out of the tunnel.

Requirements: Missiles

 

In the tunnel above the Escue boss room, get into the top portion after shooting the ceiling. Fire a missile right in the top righthand corner. You’ll see MISSILE EXPANSION #34 there!

 


Missile Expansion #35

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Bombs, Morph Ball

 

When you enter the room on the left hand side of the big submerged room in Burenia, immediately bomb the floor. A tunnel will appear that will lead you down and directly to MISSILE EXPANSION #35. Continue your way down and exit through the bottom door.

From the elevator room going to Burenia, go through the door and walk straight, minding the teeter-totter, and you’ll walk right into MISSILE EXPANSION #36

 


Missile Expansion #37

Requirements: Gravity Suit

 

In the room directly to the left of where you fight the Spear Chozo Soldier,  jump all the way up to the top of the room to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #37.

 


Missile Expansion #38

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Speed Booster, Morph Ball

 

Drop down to the ground and start Speed Boosting. As you run, you’ll smash through a pillar hanging down, but there is a second pillar made up of not Speed Boost blocks, but Missile blocks. Shoot straight ahead at them as you’re running and then get ready – when you’re about to hit the edge before the door, SLIDE! You’ll go ripping through some Speed Boost blocks and roll, eventually hitting MISSILE EXPANSION #38!

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Diffusion Beam

 

From the Artaria elevator, go left and drop all the way down to the bottom of the vertical hallway. Use your Diffusion Beam and shoot the tumor in the wall, roll over and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #39

 


Missile Expansion #40

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Diffusion Beam, Gravity Suit, Grapple Beam

 

Head to the frozen room to the left of the Spear Chozo Soldier boss room. Jump up halfway, and then open the Grapple Door in the middle-right. Walk forward, drop into the water, lay some bombs, and then drop down. Use your Diffusion Beam on the wall to blow up a hidden tumor. Once the path is cleared, jump up and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #40.

Requirements: Screw Attack

 

Head to the Burenia elevator room and shoot the wall on the right hand side. There’s a little passageway hidden there, so use your Screw Attack to break the rest of the blocks in your way and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #41

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Screw Attack

 

In the Artaria elevator room, head forward and Screw Attack through the blocks at the top corner of the room, nabbing MISSILE EXPANSION #42

 


Missile Expansion #43

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Missiles

 

Head to the top corner of the Twin Robot boss room and aim towards the ground. Line up your shot to hit the last step that’s level with the door. MISSILE EXPANSION #43 will reveal itself.

 


Missile Expansion #44

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Speed Boost, Gravity Suit

 

From the Green Teleportal Station, continue through the door on the left. You’ll find yourself in that familiar submerged room yet again. Drop all the way down to the bottom of this room and get that Speed Boost going. Charge up your Shinespark and get yourself to the middle of the room. Go flying upwards and you’ll crash into MISSILE EXPANSION #44!

 


Missile Expansion #45

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Screw Attack, Speed Boost, Grapple Beam

 

From the Green Teleportal Station, head back to that oh-so-familiar pool of water that we know leads to the Spin Boost room. The ceiling is made up of Screw Attack blocks, so slice and dice! Open the Grapple Door and start Speed Boosting. Running into the next room, charge your Shinespark and head into the middle of this room. Shinespark straight up and you should see two tunnels appear. Once you’ve crashed into the top of the room, drop down and squeeze through the opening to the second tunnel. Jump up and grab ENERGY PART #12! That’s another full tank, so score! Continue falling down and you’ll see a tunnel that you can slip into that houses MISSILE EXPANSION #45.

 


Missile Expansion #46

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Cross Bombs, Morph Ball

 

In the room after the Golzuna boss room, roll into the little nook on the floor and lay a Cross Bomb. A tunnel will open up, so go to the end and lay more Cross Bombs. You’ll see another tunnel that has MISSILE EXPANSION #46 just sitting there.

Location: Hanubia

Requirements: Morph Ball, Bombs

 

Lay some cross bombs and follow the tunnel over to the left (you’ll see a Screw Attack block under you when you drop your first bomb, but just ignore it). Follow the path over and you’ll grab MISSILE EXPANSION #47

 


Missile Expansion #48

Location: Ferenia

Requirements: Speed Boost, Morph Ball, Grapple Beam, Bombs

 

Start Speed Boosting towards the left and charge it before you hit the wall. Get in Morph Ball form and unleash your Shinespark; you’ll see a little alcove open up. Get in there and lay a bomb, allowing you to drop down. Pull out the Grapple block and then go back through the Charge door. Start Speed Boosting again; charge your Shinespark and quickly slide through the tunnel, shoot the floor, drop down and get yourself into the nook where the Grapple block was. NOW is the time to unleash your Shinespark! You’ll go crashing towards the right and end up in another little alcove. Shoot the wall above the tunnel and you’ll grab MISSILE EXPANSION #48! Missile Expansion #49

Location: Hanubia

Requirements: Missile, Morph Ball

 

Destroy the Grapple block in front of you and then fire a missile into the tunnel under the door. Slide under and you’ll grab MISSILE EXPANSION #49!

 


Missile Expansion #50

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Cross Bombs, Morph Ball

 

Head towards the Green Teleportal Station. Up above it is a small tunnel with pitfall blocks. Use your cross bombs to push you across and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #50.

 


Missile Expansion #51

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Storm Missiles

 

Drop down beside the Green Teleportal Station and lay a Power Bomb. Slip through the opening in the floor. Drop down and then head through the door on the right. Jump up and use your Storm Missiles to hit the switches and move the Storm Box. Go through the door and jump up beside the Teleportal. Head into the now-unlocked room beside it and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #51.

 


Missile Expansion #52

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Cross Bombs, Gravity Suit

 

Make your way to the room directly under the Map Station. Your Gravity Suit will allow you to jump up to the ledge and your Cross Bombs will allow you to cruise over the pitfall blocks, grabbing MISSILE EXPANSION #52.

 


Missile Expansion #53

Location: Ghavoran

Requirements: Gravity Suit, Morph Ball, Missiles

 

Head to the elevator to Burenia (make sure you take the E.M.M.I. Zone path on the far left of the map). In the room to the right of the elevator room is a pool of water. In the top left corner of this pool is a missile block; shoot it and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #53.

 


Missile Expansion #54

Location: Burenia

Requirements: Gravity Suit

 

Head to the room directly under where we battled Drogyga earlier. On the far right side is a tunnel submerged in water. Climb inside and follow it to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #54.

 


Missile Expansion #55

Location: Ferenia

Requirements: None

 

From the Cyan Teleportal, roll into the next room and start shooting the ceiling. You’ll be able to jump up a few floors and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #55.

 


Missile Expansion #56

Location: Ferenia

Requirements: Power Bombs, Morph Ball

 

Get to the Network Station that’s connected to the lower left side of the Main Hall. Head to the left and jump up to the top ledge. Lay a Power Bomb and then jump up through the tunnel to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #56.

 


Missile Expansion #57

Location: Ferenia

Requirements: Wave Beam, Gravity Suit, Cross Bombs/Power Bombs

 

You’ll be in the room you grabbed the Space Jump in. Follow the path into the water and around, and then either lay a Power Bomb or jump over to the left side wall and lay a Cross Bomb. Either way, a tunnel will open up. Roll through and get on the ledge. Use your Wave Beam to shoot the tumor across the room and the jump over to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #57.

 


Missile Expansion #58

Location: Ferenia

Requirements: Power Bombs

 

There will be another long tunnel to your right that you’ll wanna hop into. You’ll be in a small room with an expansion up above behind some pitfall blocks. Simply lay a Power Bomb and jump over to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #58.

 


Missile Expansion #59

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Missiles, Cross Bombs, Morph Ball

 

Position yourself so you’re facing the blocks in front of the Expansion. Get into Morph Ball form and jump up, laying a Cross Bomb. Fire off four missiles to destroy the missile blocks and jump over into the tunnel. Lay another Cross Bomb and you’ll roll over the pitfall blocks into MISSILE EXPANSION #59.

 


Missile Expansion #60

Location: Dairon

Requirements: None

 

Head into the low temperature room to the left of the Map Station. Space Jump over to the left until you grab the spider tracks on the middle of the wall. Use your Pulse Scan and you’ll see a tumor hidden in the wall to your left. Blast it with your Wave Beam and a tunnel will open. Alternatively, you could have just taken the elevator from Ghavoran to Dairon and ended up in this room. Either way, grab MISSILE EXPANSION #60.

 


Missile Expansion #61

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Speed Booster, Screw Attack

 

Go to the bottom of the room and charge up your Shinespark. Shoot into the left wall, just underneath where the spider tracks are, and the wall will give away. Screw Attack through the blocks and then follow the tunnel to the bottom. Eliminate all the enemies down here and then start Speed Boosting towards the left wall. Don’t Shinespark yet though, just allow yourself to crash through the wall. Jump up and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #61. Now, Shinespark your way out.

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Varia Suit, Gravity Suit (recommended), Morph Ball, Grapple Beam 

 

Slide through and jump across the pool of lava until you get to the other side. Destroy the Grapple block and roll through the top tunnel and you’ll run into MISSILE EXPANSION #62. Once you’ve grabbed it, drop into the lava and go to the far left side of the room. Speed Boost towards the right and you’ll go crashing through some blocks and unearth MISSILE EXPANSION #63.

 


Missile Expansion #63

Location: Dairon

Requirements: Speed Boost, Gravity Suit

 

Slide through and jump across the pool of lava until you get to the other side. Destroy the Grapple block and roll through the top tunnel and you’ll run into MISSILE EXPANSION #62. Once you’ve grabbed it, drop into the lava and go to the far left side of the room. Speed Boost towards the right and you’ll go crashing through some blocks and unearth MISSILE EXPANSION #63.

 


Missile Expansion #64

Location: Artaria E.M.M.I. Zone

Requirements: Grapple Beam

 

Use your Grapple Beam to pull up the trapdoor that fell earlier. Doing so will let you jump across to MISSILE EXPANSION #64.

 


Missile Expansion #65

Location: Artaria

Requirements: Super Missiles

 

Head towards the room you got the Varia Suit in. Along the way, you’ll see a Super Missile cover door; go through the door and lay a bomb, jump up, and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #65.

 


Missile Expansion #66

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Gravity Suit, Morph Ball

 

From the Red Teleportal Station, make your way to the room above where you grabbed the Diffusion Beam. Once there, roll into the tunnel under the lower platform. Your Gravity Suit will protect you as you roll into MISSILE EXPANSION #66.

 


Missile Expansion #67

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Diffusion Beam, Varia Suit, Morph Ball

 

Get inside and jump over to the right side of the room. There are three tumors that all need a good destroyin’, so shoot them all and climb up into the tunnel that appears in the top corner of the room. Roll over to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #67.

 


Missile Expansion #68

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Varia Suit

 

Get to the higher temperature room above the Network Station in lower Cataris. Simply jump over and up to the top right corner to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #68.

Head to the hallway above the Experiment Z-57 boss room. You’ll see the thermal doors are shut tight, but you can Screw Attack through the left side wall to create a passageway to the room, as well as grabbing MISSILE EXPANSION #69 at the same time. Nice!

 


Missile Expansion #70

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Power Bombs, Morph Ball, Varia Suit

 

From the Blue Teleportal Station, head up to the top ledge and lay a Power Bomb. You’ll be in a very long, vertical room. Jump to the very very top, crawl into the nook, lay a bomb, and then fall down into the tunnel. When you land, blow up the blocks and grab MISSILE EXPANSION #70.

 


Missile Expansion #71

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Wave Beam, Varia Suit, Bombs

 

Across from where Missile Expansion #70 was sitting is a wall that can be blown up. Make your way all the way up until you come to a room with a Wide Beam Box and some pillars. Shoot the Wide Beam Box out of the way, bomb the floor, and shoot the left wall to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #71.

 


Missile Expansion #72

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Speed Booster

 

Head to the room that connects to the Dairon elevator (you should see this area flashing white). Get beside the used Wide Beam Box and start Speed Boosting. Charge your Shinespark and jump up to the slope above you. Release your Shinespark and quickly charge it again as you start to run. Jump up to the top and Shinespark straight up into the higher part of the ceiling. You’ll go crashing into MISSILE EXPANSION #72. See Shinespark Puzzles for video!

 


Missile Expansion #73

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Gravity Suit, Speed Booster

 

Roll through the rest of the tunnel to the left and position yourself in the room immediately above the Red Teleportal Station (it’s in the same square in the map). Right beneath the diagonal spider rail is a tumor; shoot it and head into this room. Immediately drop into the lava and get yourself to the far left wall. Shoot the bricks in front of you and start Speed Boosting. Almost as soon as you trigger your Boost, you’ll need to slide under some pillars sticking down. Pull off the slide and you’ll go crashing into MISSILE EXPANSION #73.

 


Missile Expansion #74

Location: Cataris

Requirements: Spin Boost/Space Jump, Varia Suit

 

From the Orange Teleportal Station, roll through the tunnel directly beside it and then jump straight up to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #74

 


Missile Expansion #75

Location: Elun

Requirements: Power Bombs, Morph Ball

 

 Jump up to the room to the left of the Chozo Soldier boss room. You’ll see tunnels in the wall; get inside them and follow the path. Eventually, you’ll pass by a missile expansion that you’re unable to get. Keep going until the tunnel starts to descend instead of pressing right. Use your Pulse Scan and you’ll see some blocks in the top right corner that can be destroyed. Lay a Power Bomb and jump up the new tunnel. Roll over to grab MISSILE EXPANSION #75. Congratulations – that’s every Missile Expansion in Metroid Dread!
