Metroid: Samus Returns Walkthrough: Endings

In keeping with the tradition of the Metroid series, Metroid: Samus Returns has several endings that the player can achieve. These endings are based on a combination of time completion and difficulty setting. NOTE: in order to obtain every ending, you’ll need to beat the game on Fusion difficulty mode, which (as of this writing) can only be unlocked via scanning the Metroid Glass Tube amiibo.

Below, you’ll see the ending images and the conditions required to unlock that ending:

Ending #1

Conditions: Beat the game on Normal difficulty with a completion time of over 8 hours.

Ending #2

Conditions: Beat the game on Normal difficulty with a completion time between 4 to 8 hours.

Ending #3

Conditions: Beat the game on Normal difficulty with a completion time of under 4 hours.

Ending #4

Conditions: Beat the game on Hard difficulty with a completion time of over 8 hours.

Ending #5

Conditions: Beat the game on Hard difficulty with a completion time between 4 to 8 hours.

Ending #6

Conditions: Beat the game on Hard difficulty with a completion time of under 4 hours.

Ending #7

Conditions: Beat the game on Fusion difficulty with a completion time of over 8 hours.

Conditions: Beat the game on Fusion difficulty with a completion time between 4 to 8 hours.

Ending #9

Conditions: Beat the game on Fusion difficulty with a completion time of under 4 hours.
