Here you’ll find the location for every Psychic Power Bomb Expansion in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, as well as detailed explanations on how to get them and what powerups you’ll need. Expansions have been listed in order of your first chance to pick them up during the game, although that may vary by player to player, particularly from the point where you acquire all powerups in the game.
Psychic Power Bomb Expansion #1
Location: Lower Pit, Great Mines
Requires: Psychic Power Bombs, Psychic Bombs
There’s a Morph Ball tunnel you can take on the north side of this room. It’ll take you to a small area with a crystal wall. You can destroy it with a Psychic Power bomb, then jump in Morph Ball form to reach it.
Psychic Power Bomb Expansion #2
Location: Quiet Clearing, Fury Green
Requires: Psychic Power Bombs There’s a cracked Lamorn statue on the southwest side of the room, near the door to Hollow Log. Blow it up with a Power Bomb to reveal the expansion.
Psychic Power Bomb Expansion #3
Location: East G.F. Debris, Sol Valley (K33, Map)
Requires: Psychic Grapple, Psychic Boots, Psychic Power Bombs
You’ll find a grapple point on the north side of the debris. Follow the path, using Space Jump when necessary, until it takes you to the top of the debris. You’ll see a crate with a Power Bomb Expansion inside it. Blow up the crate with a Power Bomb, and the expansion is yours.
Psychic Power Bomb Expansion #4
Location: Lava Works, Flare Pool
Requires: Psychic Grapple, Psychic Boost Ball, Psychic Spider Ball, Psychic Bombs You won’t be able to get this expansion immediately when you first go through the tunnels, as lava will be blocking the path. Instead, once you’re on the west shore, look for grapple points to reach the east shore. Once you’ve gotten there, there’s a spinner which powers the lava control. It’ll turn off the lava, allowing you to use Spider Ball on the Tethers to reach the expansion.
Psychic Power Bomb Expansion #5
Location: Sol Valley (H8, Map)
Requires: Third Tokabi Conversation
Once you’ve talked to Tokabi in three separate locations in Sol Valley, his final spot will be along the west wall of Sol Valley, north of the entrance to Fury Green. Talk to him, and he’ll give you a Power Bomb Expansion. As always, look for the black smote emanating from his campfire and the sounds of a harmonica to steer you towards Tokabi’s location.
