Here you’ll find the location for all three Vi-O-La Boost Tanks in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, as well as detailed explanations on how to get them and what powerups you’ll need. Expansions have been listed in order of your first chance to pick them up during the game. All are located in Sol Valley, so please utilize the screenshots for precise directions!
Vi-O-La Boost Tank #1
Location: Sol Valley (N4, Full Map)
Requirements: Fire Shot
On the leftmost perimeter of Sol Valley, in between the entrances to Fury Green and Volt Forge, head south from Fury Green and you’ll see a ramp; take it and you’ll be on a second platform with a ramp, and this one you want to boost on to get the clearance you need. Once you land, you’ll see a Fire Shot lock. Shoot it and you’ll grab the first Viola upgrade!
Vi-O-La Boost Tank #2
Location: Sol Valley, (L34, Full Map)
Requirements: Ice Shot
On the middle right perimeter of the map, jump off a sandy ramp to land on a ledge where you’ll see an Ice Shot lock. Shoot it and the boost Tank will be there!
Vi-O-La Boost Tank #3
Location: Sol Valley (K17, Full Map)
Requirements: Thunder Shot
Right in front of Chrono Tower, and just to the southeast of the Save Station in Sol Valley, you’ll see some sand dune platforms; get off Vi-O-La and jump across three platforms to reach a higher ledge. Shoot the Thunder lock and the boost tank will appear.
