Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Remastered Soundtrack Available Today

As the month of August comes to an end, so does our celebration of Metroid’s 40th anniversary. On August 6th, we kicked off the festivities with our biggest feature ever; the 40 Greatest Metroid moments, a collabortive piece from the staff along with some special guests recounting some of the most impactful events throughout the series’ history. We then followed that up about halfway through the month with the release of our surround sound remaster of the original Metroid soundtrack, a tribute to the game that started it all.

Today, we have one last surprise to close out the celebration. Instead of going back to the beginning, we’re jumping forward to the present day with our most ambitious musical release yet: The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Remastered Soundtrack! Check out the score today, featuring nearly SIX HOURS of music on the Omega Metroid YouTube channel, or download it for yourselves in a variety of formats here.

As always, this release comes with a handful of custom album art, including CD art. Special thanks goes to ♡Deadlyblockman♡ of the Omega Metroid Discord server who helped with the “Original Soundtrack” banner featured in all of the artwork.

Like our previous releases, this remaster is the work of Omega Metroid’s own Doominal Crossing. It follows a similar philosphy to the work done on the remaster of Metroid Prime’s soundtrack, where the primary goal was to eliminate as many popping, buzzing and clicking recording errors as possible. This remaster includes quite a bit more mixing and post-processing adjustments than that score however, particularly within tracks containing electric guitar and other live instruments. The mixing vision was to widen the stereo and brighten up some of the instruments buried in the mix to give a fuller presentation to the collection of music.

As far as we’re aware, this is the very first time that the COMPLETE Metroid Prime 4: Beyond soundtrack is available to listen to outside of the game, including a handful of bonus tracks! We hope you all enjoy this release, remastered for an optimal listening experience! Stay tuned for the behind-the-scenes article releasing tomorrow where Doominal Crossing will deep dive into all the work that went into the remastering process for the album!

Keep it locked-on at OmegaMetroid.com for all updates on our future soundtrack remaster projects!
