Check Out Doominal’s Fan Remaster of the Metroid Prime Soundtrack!

Our very own Omega Metroid team member Doominal Crossing has just released a fan-made remaster of the iconic Metroid Prime soundtrack! You can listen to the entire soundtrack on the Omega Metroid YouTube channel or download it for yourselves on a variety formats here.

Kenji Yamamoto and Kouichi Kyuma’s original work on Metroid Prime is beloved by fans today, creating a truly transcendent musical experience through diegetic blurring and the theory of acousmatic noise to turn the music into its own environmental characteristic.

This remaster adjusts several notorious recording issues and aims to give the music a more consistent EQ presentation for a true album experience!

The downloadable versions of the soundtrack also have a series of custom album covers for you to choose from, including:

The Metroid Prime Official CD Soundtrack Art.

A selection of album covers based on assets from the original Metroid Prime release. Deface font for “Original Soundtrack” created by SynaMax and Miepee.(above – one of the aforementioned album covers based on assets from the original release)

A selection of album covers based on assets from Metroid Prime Remastered.(above – one of the aforementioned album covers based on MPR assets)

Lastly, a selection of album covers using modified in-game screenshots provided by Digital Frontiers.
