Metroid Musing: What Are Some of Your Favorite Moments and Experiences From Metroid Prime 4?
The fan reception for Metroid Prime 4 has been mixed, to say the least. From the Green Crystal hunt that’s required to beat the game, to questionable story decisions, it’s understandable that some were let down after the long eight year wait for the release of Metroid Prime 4.
That said, it’s not all doom and gloom, so today we’re going to focus on some of the positives. There are plenty of memorable, noteworthy moments throughout Samus’ journey on Viewros.
What moments during your exploration of Viewros stood out to you? It could be anything from a cool cutscene, a funny moment where you knocked an enemy to the stratosphere after charging into them with Vi-O-La to a moment when you stopped to take in the beautiful environments crafted by Retro Studios. For me, going through Volt Forge for the first time, descending into each tower to activate them and see how Vi-O-La’s were built will stay with me as one of my favorite Metroid experiences.
During this journey, the multiple elevators allowed me look outside while I waited and gave me a moment to take in the visuals of Volt Forge and the massive storm raging outside. There were a few instances where looking outside allowed a glimpse at some Psy-bots flying outside before they inevitably attacked me just a few rooms after this.
What about you dear viewer, what memorable moments and experiences with Metroid Prime 4 stuck with you? Did you also enjoy the moments I brought up? Let us know in the comments below!
