Welcome back… for the FINAL TIME… to The Great Metroid Area Ranking, the Hunter-Tier Patreon exclusive show where I, Andy Spiteri, will be ranking every single area in the Metroid series! This month is the end of the road, the final stop in the journey, and the finale of this 2.5+ year long ranking! We are ranking what I think are the top three areas in the series – Super Metroid’s Brinstar, the area that made me fall in love with Metroid that’s jam packed full of secrets; Metroid Prime’s Phendrana Drifts, who ethereal beauty is matched by the best track in Metroid and some amazing set-pieces; and Metroid Prime 2’s Sanctuary Fortress, a daunting synthwave dream with incredible bosses, music, and expansions.
