Episode 171 – Is Metroid Prime 4 Destined For the “Switch 2” + Other Nintendo Direct Thoughts!
Strap in for a juicy episode! While there was no Metroid news shown at the recent Direct, a lot of stuff that could affect the future of Metroid on the Switch and beyond was announced! Does Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon being ported from 3DS set a precedent that Samus Returns could potentially follow? How about Pikmin 1 and 2 being released as digital games Could we see Metroid Prime Echoes and Corruption follow a similar path? More importantly, based on what we didn’t see, does this put the final nail in the coffin of Metroid Prime 4 being, at the very least, a Switch-exclusive title, as all signs point toward it launching on Nintendo’s next console?
