Bonjour! I’m Dominique Gendron-Langlois, also known as doomgc, which stands for Doom GameCube. As stupid as it sounds, it is the core of my story arc. Like many, Smash 64 was my initiation to the Metroid series. But I wouldn’t touch any of its games up until Metroid Prime on, you guessed it, the GameCube, my favorite console after the Nintendo Switch. I will never forget reading the Metroid Prime Nintendo Power issue #162 (November 2002) on the school bus. The game preview hooked me instantly and from this point onward, I would become a true Metroid enjoyer.

My favorite franchises are Metroid, Zelda and Resident Evil. I love maple syrup. I do a lot of amateur video editing and I have this weird passion of tinkering with mechanical keyboards. My proudest gaming moment was winning a Metroid Prime 2 multiplayer championship at the (RIP) Montreal Nintendo Dome, in 2005.
