Official Art Book ‘Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective’ Announced, Releasing 2025
Today, in a surprise announcement, the offical Twitter account for Piggyback announced a major collaboration with Nintendo that will surely excite Metroid fans!
Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective is an in-depth history of the making of the Metroid Prime Trilogy, including Metroid Prime Remastered, showcasing over two decades worth of concept art and high quality official artwork. While nothing within the pages has been revealed yet, the cover itself is shown off in the announcement featuring a stunning hardcover metallic bronze-orange embossed sketch of one of the pieces of concept art unlockable in the first Metroid Prime game.
This visual feast isn’t the only thing being offered in this massive compendium however. Another addition to the book is the inclusion of exclusive developer commentary from current and former staff members who worked on the Metroid Prime Trilogy, including a foreword by series producer Kensuke Tanabe. According to Piggyback’s product listing, the total contents of the book is 212 pages in length!
Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective is set to release in the Summer of 2025 and retails for $49.99 USD / $69.99 CAD. Currently it’s only available to pre-order on Amazon and Target, however we’ll continue to update this story as more pre-orders go live.
