Nintendo GameCube Titles Being Added Exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2’s NSO + Expansion Pass – No Metroid Prime Games Announced (Yet!)

There were so many cool announcements during todays Direct that it’s hard to keep up with them all, but one very special announcement was the reveal that finally, FINALLY, Nintendo Games are headed to NSO, albeit, NSO + Expansion Pack. This will be a feature exclusive to the Switch 2 NSO, and as of this writing, no additional price increase has been confirmed yet.

The first three titles announced to be headed to GameCube online are The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Soul Calibur II, and F-Zero GX (!!!), with more great titles like Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Chibi-Robo, and Pokemon XD on the way in the future! While no mention of either Metroid Prime or Metroid Prime 2: Echoes was made, this certainly opens up the door for those titles to make an appearance down the road, and hey – the GameCube titles will include online play, so maybe Online Multiplayer Echoes can finally be a thing!

In addition to the GameCube titles coming to NSO, a schnazzy new GameCube controller will also be availabel for purchase as well! The NSO expansion drops day one on Switch 2, June 5th!
