Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is Officially a Cross-Gen Title, With Switch 2 Enhancements!
In case you missed the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct this morning, one of the burning questions that’s been on the mind of Metroid fans for month, if not years, was finally answered: Metroid Prime 4 WILL be a cross-gen title, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version launching in addition to the baseline Switch game! The Switch version of Metroid Prime will feature some enhancements, namely support for the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and enhanced visuals and performance. The exact specs are:
Quality Mode – 4K, 60 FPS, HDR (Handheld Quality mode: 1080p, 60 fps, HDR)
Performance Mode – 1080p, 120 FPS, HDR (Handheld mode: 720p, 120 FPS, HDR)
Don’t worry if you’re picking up Metroid Prime 4 on the original Switch, though – you will be able to purchase an upgrade for Beyond that will give it the Switch 2 enhancements!
I’m personally pumped with this confirmation, and even more excited for the next Metroid Prime game than before, which I thought was impossible!
