Episode 207 – Metroid Manga in Review: Samus & Joey Volume 1!
Metroid Manga in Review finally returns, and this time we’re examining a beloved cult classic among the Metroid faithful: Samus & Joey Volume 1! This collection introduces us to Joey, a reckless young boy and the self proclaimed “first disciple of Samus Aran” as he meets Samus and embarks in his own heroic adventure! The guys get together and talk about what they liked in the comic, how it has the same breezy qualities as a Saturday morning cartoon, if it was easy enough to follow, what items from the manga would make great additions to a Metroid game, why there’s cursing when it goes against the tone, and point out several panels of beautiful artwork!
All of the Samus & Joey manga have been faithfully translated by our pals at Metroid Database, so make sure to check them and their manga section out so you can read for yourself!
