Check Out This Graphical Comparison Between Metroid Prime 4’s Switch 1 and Switch 2 Editions
With the dust settling on the Switch 2 Direct yesterday, we know now for sure that, as many people have suspected, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has it’s own Switch 2 Edition! The segment for Metroid Prime 4 didn’t last too long, just a little over 30 seconds, but most of it’s content lines up well with the second overview trailer from the March Switch 1 Direct. As a result of this, ElAnalistaDeBits over on YouTube has put together a video comparing the graphics and performance of both editions of Metroid Prime 4 side by side.
The first two minutes go over the opening segment of the second trailer, where Samus arrives in a forest area from a portal and the camera moves behind her, before entering a first person view. At first, the video shows the segment of the Switch 1 trailer before showing a segment of the Switch 2 Edition of the same scene. Next, the video shows both editions playing side by side on screen before taking multiple still images of each version that starts with have a swipe transition from the Switch 1 Edition to the Switch 2 Edition. The first image is a good look at Samus’s Varia Suit from the front, while the second image is from Samus’ first person perspective with several zoom ins on her Arm Cannon and surrounding areas.
Of course, simply reading it doesn’t do this comparison justice, seeing how crisp the Switch 2 Edition is over the Switch 1 Edition. Head on over to ElAnalistaDeBits channel, check out their graphics comparison, leave a comment below on your thoughts and keep your feed locked to Omega Metroid as we will be reporting more on Metroid Prime 4 as soon as news comes in!
