Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Revealed for Nintendo Switch in 2025!
To cap off the end of today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo surprised fans with the first look at Metroid Prime 4!
Now titled “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond,” the latest entry in the Metroid series, and Metroid Prime subseries, is slated for a 2025 release on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
Nintendo dropped a new trailer, featuring a lot of exciting action and our favorite hero in the galaxy, Samus Aran. The game features not just the return of the Galactic Federation, the Space Pirates, and Metroids, but also Sylux, one of the featured hunters introduced in Metroid Prime Hunters for the Nintendo DS. His latest appearance was presumably at the end of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, where a ship resembling his Delano 7 appears in a special ending sequence.
The trailer features a new HUD with a detailed map and new beam functionality. Scanning returns, as well as the classic Metroid Prime combat and exploration fans have come to love. The game also returns to the sprawling natural environments and mystery that the series is known for.
The last entry in the series, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016.
